Future of Games is the 3rd annual summit hosted by the Tabletop Game Alliance of Washington State.

This 1 day event features an Expo Hall, Seminars, Panels Discussions, Talks, Professional Development, and an Opportunity to Connect with educators, non-profits, game designers, illustrators, community organizers, retailers, and other professionals in the tabletop game industry.

The Olympia Center
This year we are expanding to  a new venue, which will give us space to add a 5,000 square foot Expo Hall and 3 Conference Rooms for additional programming. Located in the heart of downtown Olympia, with ample free street parking, free buses,  and walking distance to the Doubletree Hilton and the Governor Hotel a farmer’s market, the Olympia Transit Center, and numerous locally owned restaurants.

We can’t wait to bring the community together to showcase why Washington is a global leader in tabletop play!

Future of Games Seminars
 Join an industry-spanning conversation to discuss the present and future of games

  • Creative Professionals – Facilitated by Chris Marshall, Tinkerhouse Games
  • Education & Nonprofit – Facilitated by Lyla Ross, director of Gamers Engaged, and Sam Saltiel (The Evergreen State College)
  • Publisher Seminar – Facilitated by James Portnow (Night Crew Games, Extra Credits)
  • Retail & Distribution Seminar – Facilitator: Rob Highlander, owner of Geek Fortress and ARC Washington)

New Designer Showcase and Mentorship Program
The TGA is running the first annual New Designer Showcase and Mentorship Program. New designers, writers, and artists can submit their portfolios to be considered for a special showcase that will take place at the summit. Two of the showcase winners will be chosen for a six month mentorship program where they will receive professional support developing their portfolios.

Play & Discover: Hands-on game demos from Washington game designers.

Located 2 blocks from the convention Altitude 15 is a Food Hall and Bar with cafeteria seating and plenty of space for gaming and business meetings. 7:30-10:30pm. Altitude 15 is all ages.
