Damon is a freelance multimedia artist based in Olympia, WA. He is currently a full-time student studying visual arts, creative writing, and game design at The Evergreen State College. Under the moniker MONOICARUS, he primarily works in the mediums of graphic design, digital art, video editing, and game design to create original works, unique experiences, and tell stories. Damon’s work in writing and game design aims to be introspective, always looking for ways to blend the fantastical with the real as a medium for self-reflection. Utilizing his own life experiences, he hopes his work will not just be relatable, but inspirational for others on their own journey. During his downtime, Damon enjoys grinding away at roguelikes and RPGs, trying out new places to eat, and socializing with his peers and friends.
“Six months ago in the desolate wastes of Terrascape’s westward territories, a tower ascended heavensward. Its off-putting architecture seemed to originate from a place out of time itself—or at least a place unknown to our country. Under Bellona Cydonyasteria’s leadership, her heroes entered the tower on the day of its emergence. The moment they disappeared from sight into its dark depths, the spire collapsed in on itself like a dying celestial body. In its absence remained The Deep Dark: an endless chasm plunging into the heart of our star. From this gaping maw came The Grey: a colorless miasma. It seeped forth, stripping the world of its color, trapping the surrounding countryside in timeless suspension. Terrascape’s best scientists worked tirelessly for three months to develop the Memoria Turnwheel: a device that granted a protective veil, keeping its wielders safe from the haze. With the new innovation, expeditions were authorized into this strange new underworld.”
MEMENTO MORI is a dungeon crawling TTRPG in which players harness the memories of past heroes, adventurers, and sinners in the form of interchangeable classes while cooperatively working together to explore the dark depths of the world. As a result of their ventures, players will help build Babel’s Landing; a hub of operations where Terrarians stand united against the end times. As the hub develops, players can expect new opportunities for quests and to better outfit themselves for expeditions.
When your homeland faces the end, will you unite to create a new beginning?
